It’s time to start thinking about wrestling, as if there ever a time when you shouldn’t be thinking about the greatest sport.

Summer camps:

Top of the podium (TOP) has a number of great camps:

My son, Peyton, has done this one 2 times in the past. This year we’re taking a break so he isn’t going to do a camp, but I do endorse the camp for kids with experience, but who aren’t serious about wrestling yet.

My understanding is that VA Tech. is also going to have a youth camp at TOP Aug 3-5.   https://www.robiewrestling.com/content/day-camps/day-camp-top-of-the-podium

James Madison High School Wrestling Team:

Sponsoring 2 camp sessions this year.  We welcome ages 5-15 and NO experience is necessary.  This is a great opportunity to be introduced to the sport or hone skills and technical aspects of folk style wrestling.  It will be a fun week for all with experienced coaching.  The attached flyer includes all specifics or go directly to the sign up form here

Pin to Win (Gene Mills):  This is a camp I hope to send my son to when he’s ready

Navy also has a few camps:

Expect next year to be normal.

Oakton High School might be available for us which will really help us with scheduling practices.

What can be done now, any and all sports, be active in some way, and watch your wrester’s diet.

If I get enough interest we may try to setup practice times over the summer.

Thanks,

Mark
